Hulkling, whose real name is Theodore "Teddy" Altman, is a Marvel Comics superhero known for his shape-shifting abilities and powerful alien heritage. First introduced in Young Avengers #1 in 2005, Hulkling is not actually related to the Hulk, despite his name and muscular green appearance. He is the son of the Kree hero Mar-Vell and the Skrull princess Anelle, making him a unique hybrid of two warring alien races. Teddy was raised on Earth, unaware of his true lineage, until his powers began to manifest in adolescence. With the ability to alter his shape, size, and appearance at will, Hulkling is a formidable fighter and a compassionate leader. He gained prominence as a founding member of the Young Avengers, and later stepped into a significant cosmic role as the “King of Space,” uniting the Kree and Skrull empires under his rule in the Empyre storyline. Known for his kind heart, courage, and his romantic relationship with fellow Young Avenger Wiccan (Billy Kaplan), Hulkling represents a powerful symbol of unity, identity, and love across both galactic and human realms.
