Moondragon is one of Marvel Comics’ most powerful and complex cosmic characters. Born Heather Douglas, she was transformed into a telepathic and telekinetic powerhouse after her parents were killed by Thanos and she was raised by the Shao-Lom monks on Titan. Her intense mental training led her to become Moondragon, a figure of immense intellect, psychic strength, and inner conflict. Over the years, she’s been affiliated with major Marvel teams including the Avengers, Defenders, and Guardians of the Galaxy, often walking a fine line between heroism and arrogance. As a character, she is known for her fierce independence, moral ambiguity, and willingness to take drastic measures for what she believes is right. Moondragon also stands out as one of Marvel’s early LGBTQ+ characters, having a long-running relationship with Phyla-Vell (a version of Captain Marvel).
